In John 14:6, Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is The Way – the only way to the Father. He is The Truth, and He came to show us the truth of God’s love and grace for each one of us. He is also The Life.
We all have sinned (Romans 3:23), the wages of which is death (Romans 6:23). Romans 5:12 states that through one man – that man being Adam – sin entered the world, and through sin, death. Also that death came to all in this way, for all have sinned. The good news of the gospel is that even while we were dead in our transgressions, God made us alive with Christ (Ephesians 2:4-5).
Jesus came to save us by giving His life for us at the cross. One died for all. All died, therefore (2 Corinthians 5:14). Because He died in our place, His death was our death. We have been raised with Christ (Colossians 3:1). We have been given new life in Him. He is The Life. All who believe in Him possess life everlasting (John 3:16).
Our Savior came that we might have life more abundant (John 10:10). He wants to give us life in every area – mentally, physically, financially, and in every other way, as well as spiritually, in our relationship with Him. He wants us to experience the abundant life He came to give us.
Though we were once dead in our sins, we have been made alive with Christ. He gives us, His sheep, eternal life (John 10:28). He desires for us to enjoy life more abundant in every area of our lives. Come to Him, and receive an abundance of life for your every area of lack!
Join us tomorrow as we wrap up the Names of Jesus series!
