This week’s memory verse for Called and Created’s Bible Reading and Memorization Plan is Psalm 36:7. It declares that God’s unfailing love for us is priceless, and that in the shadow of His wings, people take refuge.
God’s love for us truly is priceless. Its value is beyond compare. No amount of money can equal its worth. We can’t earn it. We can’t do anything to deserve it. It is given to us freely, simply because our God is love (1 John 4:16). The love of Christ surpasses all knowledge (Ephesians 3:19). It behooves us to become rooted and established in that love (Ephesians 3:17), asking our Heavenly Father to help us to begin to comprehend its height and depth, and length and breadth (Ephesians 3:18).
In the shadow of the wings of our God, safety is found. If we call Him our refuge, and dwell in Him, no harm can or will overtake us (Psalm 91:9). He is our every-present help in troubled times (Psalm 46:1). His name is our strong tower (Proverbs 18:10). Because He is for us, none can stand against us (Romans 8:31). In Christ, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37)!
Enjoy the priceless love of your Heavenly Father. Take refuge in the shadow of His wings. Know that He is for you, and loves you dearly as His own son or daughter!
