God Remembers Our Sins No More

remember no moreWeek 40 of Called and Created’s Bible Reading and Memorization Plan is nearly finished. This week’s reading was
Hebrews 6-10.

Hebrews 8:12 says that God remembers our sins no more! They have been completely forgiven because of what Christ has done!

“Because the price for our sins was paid in full at the cross, we have been totally forgiven in Christ. Not one of our sins remains undealt with. They have been completely erased – removed from us as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). When God looks at us, He no longer sees our sins. In fact, He no longer even remembers them. That is how completely we have been forgiven!

Under the new covenant, God is merciful to our iniquities, not only refraining from giving us what we do deserve, but also giving us many good gifts that we don’t deserve. We have been forgiven of our every sin, to the point that God remembers them no more. Rejoice in the fact that there’s no longer anything standing between you and your Heavenly Father’s love and acceptance!” – Excerpt from previous post, “He Remembers Your Sins No More!

Rest and Receive

rest and receiveWeek 39 of Called and Created’s Bible Reading and Memorization Plan is nearly finished this week’s reading was Hebrews 1-5.

Hebrews 4:9 says that there remains a rest for the people of God. What is this rest? Where is it found? Jesus answers this question in Matthew 11:28. He bids all who are weary and burdened to come to Him, and promises that He will give them rest.

Our rest is found in what Christ did for us at the cross. When He gave His life for us, the devil was defeated once and for all. All who believe in Him are made righteous, and are qualified to receive all of God’s blessings! Are you worried? You have been qualified to receive peace! Are you depressed? You have been qualified to receive joy! Are you sick? You have been qualified to receive healing! Are you experiencing lack? You have been qualified to receive prosperity!

We don’t have to fight and struggle to be good enough to earn God’s blessings. Because we have been made righteous through faith in what Jesus did for us at the cross, God’s blessings are given to us as free gifts of His grace! Jesus paid the price for them in full. We simply need to rest in His finished work, and receive what God wants to give us. Find your rest in Christ today!
