The days grow cooler. The sun sets earlier. The leaves change color. Fall is upon us.
This world is in a constant state of change. Winter gives way to spring. Spring switches to summer. Summer turns to fall. Fall leads back into winter. Additionally, we experience change in our own lives on a regular basis. In the midst of this continual transitioning, there is One who endures unchanging. Seasons may pass. Circumstances may shift course. People may alter. In spite of all of this, our Savior remains constant.
Hebrews 13:8 (NASB) guarantees us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” He doesn’t change with the passage of time. He’s no different now than He was thousands of years ago. The same Healer who assured the leper of His willingness to cleanse him (Matthew 8:13) desires for us to experience healing today. The same Deliverer who refrained from condemning the woman caught in the very act of adultery (John 8:11) continues to offer us the gift of no condemnation through His sacrifice at the cross. The same Redeemer who was accused of eating with tax collectors and sinners (Matthew 9:11) still invites you and I to come to Him and experience His love. He is our unshakable foundation, and He is worthy of our trust. Put your faith in the security of our unchangeable Savior.
