What are you facing today? What are you up against? Do you feel like you’re on your own?
If so, know that you are NEVER alone. Jesus is with you always (Matthew 28:20). Not only is He always with you, but everything has been placed under His feet (Ephesians 1:22). Whatever you’re facing, know that it is under His feet, and that because you are in Him, it is under your feet, as well.
Christ has been made head over all for YOUR benefit (Ephesians 1:22)! All authority on heaven and earth is His (Matthew 28:18). As a member of His body on this earth, He has given you authority, as well. You have been given power over ALL the power of the devil (Luke 10:19)! When you use the name of Jesus, demons must flee, sickness must leave, and depression and anxiety must loosen their hold, for EVERYTHING must bow before the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:10)!
In Christ, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Believe this, and begin to experience the victory that God desires for you to walk in!
Week 6 of Called and Created’s Bible Reading and Memorization Plan will soon be at its end. This week’s reading was Mark 5-10. These chapters speak mainly of some of Jesus’ miracles, conversations with His disciples, a couple of His encounters with the Pharisees, and the transfiguration.
In Mark 5, we read of a man who was possessed by demons, which Jesus cast out of him. The demons begged for permission to enter a nearby herd of pigs rather than leave the area. The herd then stampeded into a lake and drowned.
As the Son of God, Jesus possessed the authority to cast the demons out of the man. They simply had to obey Him. In Christ, we have been given authority to overcome all the power of the devil (Luke 10:19). This power and authority isn’t of ourselves. It is from Him. It is through Him that we can do all things (Philippians 4:13). Whatever we ask in His name, He will do (John 14:13-14). When we allow Him to work through us, great things are accomplished for His glory!
The devil has been disarmed (Colossians 2:15). He has been defeated! We have been given the victory over Him. Sickness has no right to remain on our bodies. Fear must flee. Anxiety and depression must leave. They are no match for our wonderful Savior, and the price He paid for us at the cross.
Today, remember that you have been given authority over all the power of the devil, who has already been defeated. Rest in the victory over him that was won for you at the cross!
