Walk In Freedom

Walk In Freedom

Yesterday was Memorial Day – when were remember those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Just like there are many who fought and died to protect our freedom, we have a Savior who gave His life for us at the cross, to set us free! We were once claves to sin, but He won our freedom, and made a way for us to become children of God!

God wants you to walk in freedom from worry, fear, anxiety, sickness, disease, addiction, or anything else you may be dealing with. He loves you more than you could ever imagine, and He is both willing and able to do the impossible for you, if you will put your trust in Him. It is His desire for you to experience the freedom Christ purchased for you in every area of your life. You have been set free because of what your Savior has done for you. Receive your freedom today!

Remember and give thanks for those who have given their lives so that you could be free, including Christ, who gave His life for your freedom at the cross! Have faith that because of His finished work, you have been made free, and begin to walk in the freedom that is yours in Him!

The Old Covenant of the Law, and the New Covenant of Grace

Under the old covenant of the law . . .

  • Everything’s based on you and what you do.
  • You get what your actions deserve.
  • Your standing with God is determined by your own merit.
  • Mistakes and failures are met with condemnation and punishment.
  • God’s blessing on your life is contingent upon your obedience.

Under the new covenant of grace . . .

  • Everything’s based on Christ, and what He’s done for you.
  • You are freely given what you could never deserve.
  • Your standing with God is determined by Christ’s merit accredited to you.
  • Mistakes and failures are met with God’s abounding forgiveness and mercy.
  • God’s blessing on your life is permanent, apart from any good or bad that you do.

Which covenant are you living under – the new covenant of grace that Christ came to establish, or are you still trying to live under the law? Receive God’s amazing grace today, and place your focus on your Savior’s finished work at the cross!

What Is God’s Will When We’re Going Through Difficult Circumstances?

God's Will

Have you ever heard that God sometimes sends us trials to teach us something? That He allows us to go through difficult seasons so that we will draw closer to Him? Guess what?!? It’s a myth!

God is good. He loves you far more than you could possibly imagine. He is the giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17) and He promises to give good things to those who ask (Mtt 7:11). He is not the source of life’s tragedies. He is the One who will bring about healing, wholeness and abundance in every area of your life if you will receive it. It is His desire to see you enjoy every blessing that He has for you. It is His goodness, not Him sending trials, that leads people to repentance (Rom 2:4), turning them towards Him.

God isn’t causing bad things to happen to you, or sitting back and simply allowing them to take place. Quite the opposite, in fact. He sent His Son to pay the price for you to get to know Him, and have the right as His child to receive your healing, freedom, peace, joy, restoration, and whatever it is you’re in need of. As your Heavenly Father, He’s on your side. He stands ready and waiting to rescue you!

Know this once and for all – it’s ALWAYS God’s will to save and deliver you, regardless of the situation you may be in, or how you got there. In many cases, the reason people pray and don’t see a breakthrough is because they don’t really believe this. They question what it’s really God’s will to do in the situation, or they think He won’t work in their lives because they don’t deserve it. Matthew 21:22 says that you will receive what you ask for if you BELIEVE! Don’t doubt God’s willingness or ability to work in your situation. Trust in Him, and see your miracle come to pass!

Don’t Just Follow the Crowd!

Don't Just Follow the Crowd! On a daily basis, we face pressure to simply follow the crowd, and go along with what everybody around us is doing. However, just because everybody’s doing it doesn’t make it a wise decision, or the right thing to do!

There are many people who have made choices with lasting consequences which they later regret, simply by doing things the way everyone else seems to be doing them. Before you join the path everybody else is following, ask yourself if it is really is the path you should follow!

Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform to the pattern of the world around us, but instead to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. In other words, DON’T simply BE LIKE EVERYONE AROUND YOU! Dare to stand out, and do things God’s way rather than just trying to fit the mold and follow the path everyone else is following. Spend time with God. Read His Word. Listen to what He has to say to you. Let Him renew your mind to His wisdom, and watch transformation take place in your life!

What God’s Word Has To Say About Prayer

prayer, God's Word

Today is the National Day of Prayer!

What is prayer? Simply put, it is having a conversation with God. He wants to hear from you! He also desires to speak to you in return, if you will take the time to listen.

What does God’s Word have to say about prayer? Check out these verses, and find out!

  • Jeremiah 33:3 says that God promises to answer us when we pray to Him.
  • Psalm 62:8 bids us to pour out our hearts before our Heavenly Father.
  • Matthew 21:22 promises that we will receive what we ask for when we pray, if we believe.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray continually.
  • James 5:16 informs us that the prayer of someone who is righteous (and you ARE righteous if you have put your faith in Jesus!) is powerful and effective!
  • Psalm 34:15 declares that God’s ears are attentive to the cries of the righteous (and you are the righteousness of God in Christ, according to 2 Cor 5:21).
  • Romans 12:12 instructs us to keep on praying.
  • Philippians 4:6 tells not to be anxious, but instead to present our requests to God.

I challenge you to take some time today both to talk to your Heavenly Father, and to listen for what He has to say to you!

How Do You See Your World?

So often, it can be difficult for us to look beyond the way things are, and see what God wants us to see. Most of the time, when we look at our lives, all we can see is the pain we’re dealing with, the problems we’re going through, or the challenges we’re facing. Instead of seeing ourselves and our lives in a way that lines up with God’s Word, we focus on what’s right in front of us. We’re walking by sight, not by faith.

When we begin to believe what God’s Word says about us, however – when we begin to walk by faith instead of by sight – we will begin to see everything differently! When we look at our lives, instead of seeing sickness, depression, anxiety, addiction, shame, guilt, pain, or heartbreak, we will see ourselves as healed, delivered, set free, forgiven, loved, restored, and whole. Instead of seeing problems that conquer us, we will see challenges that God has conquered for us, and given us victory over. As we begin to see our world through the lens of faith, what we see through the eyes of faith will begin to come to pass in our lives!

God has many promises for us in His Word, but they can only be received through faith. If all we can see is what’s right before our eyes, we’ll never be able to experience all that He desires to give us. In order to enjoy the manifestation of God’s promises in our lives, we must learn to see our world in a different light. We must open our eyes to what God wants us to see – what His Word has to say about us and our lives. Only then will our lives really begin to change for the better!
