The Son Of Man Came To Serve

Matthew 20 28This week’s memory verse from Called and Created’s Bible Reading and Memorization Plan is Matthew 20:28. It says that the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and give His life as a ransom for many.

Our Savior didn’t come to be served, but to serve. He healed the sick, raised the dead, and caused the blind to see. He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). The same Savior that served those around Him when He was here on this earth, still desires for you to allow Him to serve you right now, and be Savior in every area of your life, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He still wants to provide for you healing, life, and freedom, if you will let Him.

Jesus came to give His life as a ransom for many. This was the greatest act of service He could do for us. He gave His life in our place, taking upon Himself the punishment we deserved, so we could have a relationship with God, and be able to freely receive His many blessings. This Christmas, remember to celebrate the One who gave His life to redeem you!
