As White As Snow

As White As SnowThis week’s memory verse from Called and Created’s Bible Reading and Memorization Plan is Isaiah 1:18, which states that though our sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, and though red like crimson, they shall be like wool.

Each one of us has sinned. We have all fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We all stumble in many ways (James 3:2) on a daily basis. God declares, however, that our sins, though as scarlet, shall be as white as snow.

This is made possible only through Christ’s work at the cross. Because of what He has done for us, and the price that He paid, we have been completely forgiven of all of our sins. Read these verses, and catch a glimpse of just how forgiven you truly are:

  • God forgives ALL of our sins (Psalm 103:3).
  • Our Heavenly Father neither treats us as our transgressions merit, nor repays us according to our wrongdoings (Psalm 103:10).
  • Our sins have been removed from us as far as the the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).
  • If God kept a record of wrongs, none could stand. With Him there is forgiveness, however, that He may be feared (Psalm 130:3-4).
  • He remembers our sins no more (Hebrews 8:12).

Every time you mess up, or fall short, remind yourself of God’s promise that your sins shall be as white as snow. Know that because of what Jesus has done for you, your every sin has been erased. Begin to see yourself as a new creation in Him (2 Corinthians 5:17)!
